Andrea Baloi

Andrea Baloi is a 5th year medical student at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Victor Babes in Timisoara, Romania. She is expecting her M.D. in 2028 and has enjoyed completing internships across the globe, including the USA, Spain, and Romania. Driven by a strong passion for research, she is actively involved in Brandon Lucke-Wold's research group, supporting the lab's mission to generate evidence that advances neurosurgical science and patient outcomes.

Andrea has contributed to multiple collaborative research projects, including several neurological review manuscripts and a book chapter. Her research interests center on evidence based synthesis, meta-analyses, narrative and systematic reviews, focusing on producing high-quality research which improves clinical practice and patient care. Although still early in her academic career, she is committed to developing a strong foundation in clinical research and academic medicine.
