Brandon Lucke-Wold, MD, PhD

Brandon P. Lucke-Wold is a board-eligible neurosurgeon and neurointerventionalist and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Arizona. He earned his MD/PhD from West Virginia University and completed his neurosurgery residency and endovascular fellowship at the University of Florida, along with advanced open cerebrovascular training at the University of Nagoya and the University of Auckland through the prestigious Van Wagenen Fellowship.

An internationally recognized researcher, Lucke-Wold has authored more than 500 peer-reviewed publications, holds two international patents, and has secured over $1 million in NIH and extramural research funding. His work focuses on traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and cerebrovascular disease, with additional expertise in neurosurgical simulation, quality improvement, and medical education. He is also a serial entrepreneur, having founded three medical-device and pharmaceutical start-ups, and serves as Editor-in-Chief for four peer-reviewed journals.
