Sardar Umer Irshad is a second-year medical student in Pakistan, studying at Bacha Khan Medical College affiliated with Khyber Medical University, Peshawar. He developed an early interest in clinical research during his first year of medical school and has since authored three peer-reviewed publications, marking the beginning of his academic research journey.

As an active member of the Lucke-Wold Neurosurgical Evidence Lab, Sardar has contributed to collaborative research projects, including a book chapter and a review manuscript. His interests include evidence synthesis, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and advancing high-quality research in neurosurgery. He is an active member of Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Society for Neuro-Oncology, and Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery.

Although still in the early stages of his career, Sardar is committed to building a strong foundation in academic medicine and research. His long-term goal is to become a neurosurgeon-scientist, combining clinical excellence with lifelong contributions to neurosurgical research to improve patient care and advance the field.
